Help Needed Transmission Slack when Shifting

When I let off my fuel pedal right before the transmission is ready to shift and coast a little then ease some fuel back to it the transmission seems to have slack (similiar to slipping) then a very hard engagement.

Any ideas and recommendations?

All fluid levels are good and I have less than 11K miles.

Mine has done the same thing on 3 occasions. I am now at 13K miles

Mine was doing the same thing..It would shift into 2nd and felt like a hard bang and totally sucked.After Ford re programmed my truck it has not done it since..Ask your dealer about the recall for the computer re programing.It has to do with exhaust filter cleaning during driving and parked..It should fix it.
