Your tranny is running HOT!!! Normal is about water temperature in the radiator, or about 180 - 200°. Pull the tranny oil stick and look at the oil, is it dark? Smell it, is it burned smelling? You may need a tranny rebuild. How many miles on the truck??

Transmission fluid is full, clean and red, no burnt smell at all. The tranny was rebuilt at 115,000 miles, the truck has 175,000. Shifts fine

Instal a temp gauge using the test port. Test port is on the drivers side of the transmission above the pan rail.

By installing a temp guage you can tell if it is the tranny or the programmer. ;tu
