Tranny or electrical?

A few nights ago i was driving and my torque converter wouldnt come unlocked, id come up to an intersection and it would just kill it. The next morning I went out and put it in drive and now it won't even move in any gear? I just had the transmission rebuilt 1700 miles ago. What could it be?

Take it back and have them figure out what is wrong. Sounds like warranty work.

transmission range switch (we used to call it a neutral safety switch)

mine just failed and it's first symptom was the 4wd wouldn't engage (see my thread on this http://www.superdutydiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9206

When you had the tranny rebuilt did they install a new torque converter? Did you notice if the OD light was flashing after the torque converter failed to unlock?

Sounds like your torque converter and/or input shaft. Won't know for sure untill they open her up though.
