well now that im gonna be getting my truck running again, the track is open and i have a serious wheel hop issue i need some traction bars.

i was told to get a set of pro comp bars but i cant find everything i need for them and i dont have the cash to spend on them now.

i need some ideas for some home made jobbies.i was thinking 2 lengths of pipe from my lower shock mounts to the frame.but not sure how that would woeld work.one thing im really worried about is bending the frame upwards with the bars trying to push up on the frame with the wieght of the crew cab and motor/auto tranny.i think if i can get good traction i can get down into the 14s in the 1/4 this summer.but i gotta get rid of the wheel hop so i dont end up breaking a rear end or driveshafts.

Pretty sure the shock mounts wont hold the torque Rich, you'll want to fab a bracket to weld to the axle tube and then upto the frame with something fairly heavy duty in either square tube or round and again, build a bracket to attach to the frame. You wont bend the frame of the truck.
