the throttle pedal assemblies are made here in Michigan.
That's not the problem, though.
The models that are having the issues are the drive by wire ones that use a stepper motor to open the throttle plate.
Toyota actually has no idea why these cars are jacked up. There has already been about two dozen reports of "fixed" cars having the problem again.
Prolly ol'guy talk but we have WAY to much Drive/Fly by wire stuff theze days. PCM, ECM, TPS, CPS, IDM, IDM Relay.... On & On.... All in the Quest to Save the Planet from a "Melt Down".. that just Isn't happening.. Driven by an Out Of Control, Governmental Agency.
But there's No going Back Now.

With the Toyota throttle debacle.. Why don't people just shift into "N"/kick it outa gear, slow down, maneuver thru traffic & get off the road... Get out and Let the engine self-destruct
..
Cell Phone pic's of a puddle of oil, with parts in it, makes for a better Claim, than a Wrongful Death suit by people that weren't there.... I would think.
I don't git it.
