TORNADIC ACTIVITY TONIGHT!!!

we're having several severe storms in N. AL tonight.

a couple of tornado have passed our area within about 5 to 10 miles from our
house already tonight.

my wife and kids freak out when the hear the word "tornado"

i know we need to be safe rather than sorry, so we have already gone to the neighbors house once tonight, they have a good ole basement (we dont).

they have passed by us without any damage to the immediate area so far.

i told my wife it would be ok if the house got blown away, as long an mey powerstroke f350 was unhurt

"needless to say" and "i'm being perfectly honest here" she was not amused at my comments

thanks john, we are all ok, just my wife and kids are overly careful.

i also saw that central IL was getting hit with tornadoes too.

was really no big deal, i actually like to see the storms begin to form and how quickly things are over.

i do thank God for keeping us safe, thats the main reason i really don't worry about them.

Tornado warning in DOWNTOWN Chicago!

Never can I remember a tornado warning ever issued for the city of Chicago!

Around 6 pm, tornado warning for the lakefront area of chicago form the museum of science and industry all the way up to about belmont harbor. I could not even imagine the carnage- and I would be pretty much MIA working on account of the damage.

i was kinda shocked too DP, to see warnings for IL, hope all is well up there.

All kidding aside, our house got blown away once by a tornado and the popup camper we had at the time was parked beside it less than 10 feet away and only had minor damage (we slept in it the night after the storm).
