Just wanted to show you guys & gals one benefit for the Thule Bedrack I installed in my rig. Worked great last weekend on our trip to McCall. :sweet

I LIKE IT, looks cool barrett.

makes me think of a car hauler, except your haulin bikes, very nice though.

is the bike rack a option that came with it, or did you have to rig it up somehow?

it just clamps to teh bed rails???
i need one to go up over the cab the fiver sort of eats up teh bed area

Thanks guys! It has been a very usefull addition.

It's all aluminum and it does just clamp to the bed rails. It's rated for 450#. All the various attachments available from Thule work on it, (Bikes, skis, canoe, etc....) So in trailer travel season, it's bikes, here in a few months it will be skis and boards. :sweet
The extended height is about 4" above the cab for carrying lumber, ladders, etc. You can even get a rack that attaches to the front of the cab at the same height for carrying longer items.
Sure is nice not having to figure out how to strap 5 bikes in the bed. Had one tip over last year and put a dent in the side of my bed rail. -mad
