...starting to make that Grity sound, so with 110K on the meter, I'm guna do the Clutch too.

My question is: I'm going to have my FORD garage do the work. The Service Writer sez FORD recommends a LUK replacement Clutch..... Does anybody have the LUK Part # for a 2K, F-350, 2WD ?? or where I can find it ?

I have NO luck with the Search's:sorry

TIA, Joe

On Edit. This would be for a Mod'd DRW (per my sig.), and I do Alot of OTR FW pulling

Don't have the number, I went and got a Southbend Con-O and am very happy with it. The factory LUK replacement is not an upgrade clutch, just the stocker.

I noticed that my aftermarket clutch eliminated that low RPM growl gear rollover sound, so I think it is a little stouter (since that noise is caused by springs not being stiff enough).

Anyway, the only advice I have is to make sure they give you a new release arm and pivot block, even though your '02 has the upgraded one. It costs $35 bucks, and it is sure nice to KNOW that it isn't about to bend in half. Mine went at 135,000 miles, and stranded me good. Good luck

if the dealer service writer recommends a LUK clutch, he more than likely has a source for them... why not just let him deal with it?

And pay dealer price   I don't think so;) . They give me a bit of a break but the Dealership Owner watches his parts, bottom line... purdy close.

Went thru Dave at Diesel Power Pruducts..... Got the Whole LUK set up. New flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, and ALL bearings, piecesn parts.. for fair Dinkum. Dealer guna charge me $300 to install it all.

There was a time, when I'd pull it in my garage and Rassle that Bear myself. But nowa dayz.... theres something nice about drop'n it off in the AM & pick'n it up in the PM.

Done Deal.

Honestly, I'm fairly suprised a grizzly ol' coot such as yourself still drives one with the third pedal! Most guys give that one up somewhere's around 50, by my experience. :roflmao

Just kidding, Joe.

Glad you got it all firgured out. I have to agree with your decision to have someone do it. If I could have found someone to do mine for $300 you can bet I would have forgone that day and a half of misery. These things are not small, light, or easy to maneuver. It's a real bear.

:roflmao :roflmao I hear ya. Couple a trucks back.. I had a "Shush Pump".. Just did'nt like waiting for IT to DO what needed to be done. Sold it. Got anuther "Hand Shaker". I like being able to put it where it needs to be.. At or Before it needs to be there.

I >AM< think'n about gitn a Zerk installed in my left knee tho.... Lil' shot a Moly now'n nen would'nt hurt;) .

The FORD garage I deal with is a very small operation (1 salesman/tech/service writer), but sell LOADS of FORD trucks. They sell to 99.9% farmers/ranchers..... and do ALL the After Sale Maint./Repair. The owner's a local rancher. It's a Warm'n Fuuzzy have'n a dealer like that. 300 was the Quote.... but I'll slip the mech (Andy) a little something too. They take care of me..I take care of them.

Life Is Good.. like that.
