Bringing buybacks for those dealers to pawn off on some other unsuspecting fool....add those two dealerships to my list NOT to shop for my next Ford vehicle!
No offense, Bama...you just deliver them!
well you see ray, you got it all wrong. what happens is, lets say i am unhappy with my PSD. i complain and complain about the performance or there have been alot of problems with my truck and ford decides to buy it back.
the processing dealer (that buys it back) sends a report or something like that to detroit, my customer (who arranges for the transport, whp happens to be in detroit) sends a pick-up order to me, to p/u up what they call a RAV unit (Re-Aquired-Vehicle).
i go and p/u this RAV unit and deliver it to one of 4 ford dealerships in the atlanta area. the dealer that i take it to DOES NOT RESALE this unit. you see, the only thing that these dealerships do, is to run diagnostics to each RAV unit to determine what maybe the problem with the auto, if any at all.
when they repair them, they are then sent to one of the auto auctions in the atlanta area, of which there are about 5 or 6.
so please do not blackball these dealers. it is all part of the ford way of doing things. we get paid on a per mileage basis. lets say from where i live in albertville, al to smyrna, ga is between the mileage range of 101 to 200 miles, i get paid 150.00, if its 201 to 300 it goes up another 100.00 and so on upto 550.00 for the really long hauls.
alot of the time, there is absolutely nothing wrong with these cars and trucks.
people will do anything to get out of a high car payment. even if it means they want the manuf. to buy it back.
hope that clears things up.
