living well in Texas
Friday they finally finished replacing my Rv's huge audio system
it has a nice dash unit with dvd/ipod/radio/cameras/etc etc etc
and it has a sub woofer thats 10 x 10 x 24 it hides under the fridge
my problem is it has setting on two dials that range from 40 hz to 280 hz
and a volume control
on the dash unit each input has its own EQ settings for the sub woofer
the problem is the sub is causing the windows to FLEX, the floor to HUMM and my brain to hurt
i have turned the volume on the woofer to low
and put the hZ things at mid scale
but watching tv with any soundtrack that has an engine or a low rumblythinginy
it drives me NUTS with a chest pounding vibe, much like standing next to a jet engine at full power , not the whine, but the deep air pounding sounds of raw power
i have also on each input EQ set the sub to a volume 10 out of a 40 scale
any ideas on how to de-rumble a bit, and still have great sound
