ok, I guess I will fess up to being a total dumbass. My steering wheel has been squeaking for a couple of years and last weekend I took it off to clean and grease it all to make it quit. Unfortunately, I did not use enough grease so I decided tonight to see if I could get it off again without renting the puller I used last week. Now, I distinctly remember reading the posted instructions that included the wise line - "leave the center nut on a little so you dont get the wheel in the kisser." Did I listen this time while pulling by hand???? NO! BAM! right in the nose!!!!!!! Damn that HURTS and my 6 y.o. daughter sitting in the truck next to me I cant even swear like I wanted to. If it hadn't hurt so much it would have been funny to me but I figured you guys could get a good laugh even where I can't!

Well at least my stupid wheel wont squeak anymore. I put enough grease on to slide across the country.
