I found this cold morning that my truck started hard. i found the fusible links to be blown on the cable from the starter solonoid to the glow plug relay. This may be stupid but do i need those links or can i just put a new end on the cable and make it work? What would be damaged if there were a problem? Do i replace the entire cable, or just the links?

If you popped a fusible link you may have issues else-where. DO NOT however leave out the fusible link something somewhere else WILL melt and maybe start a fire. If a fuse/ fusable link goes that means that what the power is going too is drawing too much amperage or has grounded itself out somehow. Check the wiring for bare spots and then check your GPR. If everything seems to be normal replace the fusible link with one of equal amps.
