Stock fuel pump hardware question

I'm curious if the inlet/outlet tubing on the stock fuel pump is stainless steel or just brake line like tubing.

Reason I'm asking is if I can flare the inlet to accommodate 3/8" fuel hose.

I'm thinkin they're stainless, because brake line tubing is copper brazed... dis-similar metals, electric current, electrolyte (fuel)...

Perhaps 3/8 hose will fit snug enough over the rolled barb combined with a couple fuel injection hose clamps to hold off the air.

I think the "original" pre-pump mod was to run new 3/8" line to the pump and clamp it. I have never messed with the output side of the pump though.
