Steering problems 2004 6.0

Brand new to this, but i hope someone can help me out. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A '04 F-350 with 58,000 miles. The problem is that when i first get in it a drive the truck pulls left than right etc...or it will shimmy back and forth. the power steering fluid level seems normal. However if i get in it before i drive and turn the wheel back and forth several turns it seems to "fix" the problem. Oh yeah and it never happens after i've been driving for a while. PLEASE HELP!

I would check a few things.

Make sure your serpentine belt is not slipping. This may cause the power steering pump to turn off / on.

What does the PS fluid look like? If it's brown or dark, flush the system and put in new. It should be clear. Are you leaking PS fluid?

Lastly, check the steering stablizer. It looks like a shock mounted horizontally near the steering rack. If it's shot it will cause the wheels to sway side to side. It would also be a good time to check the tie rods. If they are loose, that may also cause problems.

Ok so i checked power steering fluid it's good and full. I haven't noticed any leaks and Ive been checking it regularly.

Belt doesn't seem to be slipping, But if it was won't that just make the truck steer as if it were manual steering? 'cause it's not hard to steer just shacky.

Now how would i go about testing steering stabilizer? Would i have to remove it?
What about tie rod and drag link? I did notice that they rotate with ease, but how much is to much.

Check the steering stabilizer for leaks. If it's leaking replace it. If your truck has larger than stock tires you may need as stronger or dual steering stabilizer.

To check play in tuie rods, with truck off put key in ignition so steering wheel will turn, turn the steering wheel until the tires start to turn. If there is play between when you turn the steering wheel and when the wheel actually turns, then your tie rods need to be replaced.

Has this truck ever had a front end alignment?
