STACKING CHIPS

just courious, how does stacking chips work on 99-03 7.3. what does that mean? is it safe??

Thats what i'm lookin to do jimmy i have the platinum so where do i get the evolution to stack in?

when you guys are stacking those...what do you do?...(leave them both set in the middle...one high one low....what)....also do you notice a big difference...and what does your tranny think of the added pleasure?...thanks

the platinum is a chip that you put under the hood the evolution is where you plug it into the computer under the dash and program to the settings where you want them i have the evolution on race which gives you 100 hp and i run the platinum around level three sometimes five just for fun my tranny hasnt had a hard time with it to much i had the setting on the evolution set for the tranny to shift hard it didnt like that also when you stack the evolution if it says you get 100hp normaly when you stack it you get about 40% of that but it still makes a big difference money well spent i think

I also have the edge juce and evolution I keep the extream program in the computer and bumped the trans up a little bit. I only use the juce when i want a little extra My buddy has an 03 excursion 7.3 with the banks big hoss chip on 5 and the six gun piggy backed but he also has the turbo and trans upgrades plus a lot more and that truck is just crazy fast.

so your saying that stacking them doesn't get as much out of either one but overall its more than just one or the other....(if that makes sense)

you can also run this combination. my buddy has his superchips programmed for the 100 hp and has a banks six gun stacked onto that and hee uses the banks sixgun as his selector of power. also he uses the sixgun as a pyrometer. he runs pretty quick and has had no problems mechanically

You can stack a programer with a 10k type mod, or a chip with a 10k type mod... You can not stack a programer with a chip...

With a well tuned chip you will see little if any change adding a stack to a chip... just a SES light more often.

FYI the banks 6 gun is nothing more then a $400 10k mod and a EGT gauge...
