I'll admit.....I was a bit skeptical about a coolant filter when I bought it. I really didn't think there was that much stuff in there........BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!!

I changed the filter today and sifted it through a coffee filter. I bet there was a tablespoon of stuff that came out of that filter!!!! I was pleasantly surprised. I couldn't beleive how much it filtered out.

I am sold and can see how this can lead to longer waterpump life.

If you don't have one......GET ONE!!!!!!!

word of caution on the dieselsite kit.
it will still require several lock washers.

and some some deburring of the mount bracket, it will CUT you. other than that its a straight forward mod.

you can also go the route of using a baldwin filter head and filter and fabbing up your own brackets and hoses, price is probaly less.

mine took about an hour to install

been running one since about the 12k mile mark...worst case...its cheap
insurance ! and MAYBE ill get a little more life outta the OE water pump...

some believe what you filter out is stop leak not casting...either way...
im glad to be rid of it...it makes the degas bottle/coolant level easier to
read...and if what ive read is true it could prevent plugging of the OIL
COOLER & cracking of the EGR Cooler.

anyway you look it it, imo, its 100 bucks well spent.
