I am looking at getting a soft tonneau cover for the bed, hopefully to gain a couple of MPG's.

I have seen some that bolt on, have a couple of trusses that help to keep water from pooling when it raines, and then they fasten on around the bed by buttons.

I am not one to do alot of research and would like to see what others have on their trucks.

I was looking at fordaccessoriesstore.com and the I just don't understand why the soft roll-up tonneau cover is almost 600.00 and the soft tonneau cover with snaps that has the aluminum rail system is just under 300.00

Why the big diff. in price?

Well, I decided to go with THIS ONE.

It will roll up all the way to the front, or you can flip the front back to reach items in the front of the bed.

I'll post up some pics of it when I get it installed.

I hope it will help me gain alittle better fuel mileage. :sweet

Looks like it'll only be a 10 minute install.:D I like how everythng has clamps to hold it in place and no hole drilling in the bed.

Bama. I put a Soft Bed tonneau cover on my truck and I used button. Velcro is nice but it trapps all kinds of thing that you have to pick out now and again. I did pick up some mileage.

I think you made a good choice with the truxedo, i had a soft tonneau on my 2000 f350 that was of the aluminum frame design with the three bows. it worked okay but the bows had a tendency to slide out at highway speeds. good luck and report back on any increase in MPG's
by the way i am not a Alabama or Georgia fan but the Roll Tide looked incredible against the Dawgs, I couldn't believe it! One of my best friends I am stationed with is from GA and a huge Dawgs fan, we watched it together and I thought he was going to cry.

Stephen, I have had several different Tonneau covers over the years, the snap type seem to hold up the best. The velcro always seemed to work good but after a year or so they wouldn't stay attached, almost like the velcro lost its "Stickyness" if thats a word.:dunno

Thanks for the info Bob. This one does have velcro, but I hardley ever haul anything in my bed, so it will be closed 90% of the time.

Plus with the front of the cover hinged so you can access just the front, will be a nice feature.
