smogging

i thought there was a thread for this but i cant find it (maybe its just hiding in front of me) but if not then i have some questions. I found a site saying the procedure and everything involved but i find my self confused.

I have 99 7.3 that doesnt come stock with a cat. it states that a cat is required. does that mean I have to buy a cat for my truck even though it originally doesnt have one. Thats BS!! isnt that illegal to do such a thing?

If your truck did not come from Ford with a Cat, then you do NOT need a CAT. And there is no section for this,,, yet.

okayy thats good to hear me and my dad were talking about it and we were getting mad lol
so what happens to all of the people who put in injectors or intakes that arent CARB legal doesn that mean they have to take out their mods?
now im glad i went with a sound system instead of injectors

That is right. Injectors would probably pass as this is a visual inspection and they don't remove anything. Intake would not pass. Stay with the music mods.
