My service engine light has been on for about a year, I've had a few different places try to read the codes to find out what was causing the problem but no one could read any codes. I finally took it to Ford and their $100 charge only for them to tell me I need 3 sensors. An ICP, CBP, and a VSS. And of course they want $1100 to fix it. I don't believe they are all bad but the mechanic at Ford won't clear the codes so I can see which ones come back. Anyone know of a way to clear the service engine light and see which code/s comes back? Thanks for the help.

Snap-on computers can clear codes...transmission shop cleared my shift errors anyways. Most diesel shops should have them. I'm not sure if Auto Enginuity does that, I'm shure it would though....it does just about as much as snap-on.

Disconnect both batterys for about 30 minutes. if the SES light comes back on.. Scan it to see which ones come up again.. those will be the ones to address first. the VSS is a $25 dollar fix that can be done in 20 minutes.. in yer driveway.

OBTW.. Welcome to SDD.

not sure what the "CBP" is, that's a new one..
but the other two, Injector Control Pressure sensor and the Vehicle Speed Sensor are fairly common failures..
and easy fixes..
