Serpentine Belt

When should you replace serpentine belt on 2002 F-350? Broke down yesterday, back from holiday trip. belt was shredded, blew hose off radiator because it got hot. I was doing 70mp. Only 32,000 miles on truck bought new. Had it towed to dealer, haven't heard yet. Maybe a problem with pulley's or tensioner?? Anybody had this problem?? Thanks for any input! Not a happy camper! Love the truck, Lariet package, crew cab, 4x4, long bed. Does belts go bad this soon?? Thanks! Mtb-Louisville, Kentucky

i changed mine at i think near 60k on my 02 it was starting to seperate
but at 32 i bet some issue with the tensioner bearing,

I just changed my 00 belt last month at 65K and it looked perfect? I just did it while I was in the area under the hood.
