Does anyone know if the Ruth Berry Water Pumps are still being made? My mother has two water wells at her house in Louisiana. One of them is a shallow well, 45 ft deep/36" wide originally dug by my dad with post hole diggers in 1959-60. It's had a Ruth Berry pump on it for most of those years . A few years before my dad passed away in 1991, they had a deeper well professionally dug a few feet away from the original well and she's having all kinds of problems with the pump and the foot valve (This well is about 4-6 inches wide and about 100 ft deep). The water is crappy, smells like rotten eggs (the other well's water is crystal clear with no taste). Bottom line is, I'd like to know if a Ruth Berry Pump can be bought for the deep well. If not, is there a similar pump available? Thanks in advance for all your advice.
