Have a damaged dual mirror (top one heated) on a 2010 F250. See 4 studs behind rubber hole plugs and small plastic trim piece at front top side of window. Know it is heated but don't know if it has memory or not. Has dual amber turn signal and side marker lights.

2 questions:

How do you get to the mirror connector which looks like it is inside the door panel. If you have to remove the door trim panel how do you do that?

How do you determine whether it has memory or other features? The using the VIN for this mirror on the Ford parts website lists different mirrors, with memory, telescopiing, etc. Know sometimes there is a parts label or sticker on the back of the mirror but don't want to remove 4 nuts from the studs and be in trouble because I can't get to the electrical connector.

The connector is inside the door panel. You can remove the door panel by removing the small reflector on the INSIDE lower portion and removing the screw there. There is a screw at the door pull, if I am not wrong (I have a 2004). Once you get the two screws removed push UP on the panel and it will come off. The mirror connector is within the door and you just unplug it. Reverse to re-install. You will need a second person to hold the mirror when you remove the nuts or it will crash into the door. Same to re-install.
