I searched for a Wiki but couldn't find any info. Any tips/pix on how to? :dunno Got the panels off, removed three torx screws holding the latch...lots of stuff connected to that actuator!! :dizzy
Thanks!:D

oh, also, this seems a good time to put in jimmijammers. What do you think? and...do we have a site sponsor selling them anymore?

Any ideas or suggestions? I am still waiting on my order for the actuators, the throttle position sensor is apparently out of stock everywhere and the truck is sitting in the drive with door apart...and I'm heading out for about 2 weeks. Figures.

Update -
Had time to do this yesterday. The new actuator wasn't the same shape as the old, but both have an set of slots that the actuator slides into the latch assy. I made a picture of the old and new -- although the new one is for passenger side. Old on left, you can see the busted tab; new on right.

The way I got the old out was to slide a flat blade screwdriver between the latch mechanism and the plastic/bakelite actuator body and pry. It snapped (I could not find where to push to release w/o breaking). But the new part slid right in no problem.

Just waiting on my jimmi jammer now, while it's opened up..oh yeah, and the throttle position sensor for my truck!
