As a continuation of PREVIOUS THREAD, I have just finished replacing my IPR.

It didn't take but about 30 minutes to do. I had the new IPR in hand when the old one came out and imediately slapped it in. The moment you remove the old IPR, oil starts draining out of the HPOP. I wanted to get the new one in ASAP as to not loose all the oil from the HPOP. The biggest obstacle in doing the job was the tight space in which to work since I hadn't removed anything else.

On the the first start-up, the injectors were fairly noisey and the engine was somewhat rough. All about what I expected since some air had gotten into the HPOP system and injectors in turn. After a few miles, the air got worked out and the usual smoothness returned. The usual neck snapping power is back too, at least until my EGT gauge tells me to get my foot out of it. (I still need a Dominator 66 turbo from Bean's)

Have I fixed the problem? I dunno. :dunno But I suspect the next week and the total of 200 some miles of back & forth to work will tell. The SES light & associated loss of power were intermittant before, only time will tell if the new IPR fixed my issues.
