Ok, I give. How do you go about removing the front tow hooks? Somehow I see the entire roll-away in the driveway for this...

hmmm it sucks
the bolt heads are behind the bumper and a few are hidden inside the frame rail. its a trick plan a 12 pack to start. and alot of cussing. it can be done without dropping the bumper but its easier to remove it and the blocker bar first

For father's day I got a pair of aluminum tow hooks made by "Boze Billet". Beautiful pieces. CNC machined, and are wide and flat so you can stand on them for washing or working on the truck. Best fathers day gift ever. Now, to install them......:roflmao

i removed the factory black ones and put on harley davidson chrome tow hooks, but i can't remember for the life of me how i did it. i do believe that i did go ahead and drop the bumper, and the bolts holding the tow hooks on were very hard to get loose, but they eventually turned loose. good luck.

They aren't THAT hard. 3 bolts each side. 2 bolts each side to take off your bumper, hit them with the impact and bam, your done! Takes less than an hour.

(3) bolts each side to take off the bumper, you have to remove the cross-brace brackets that attach to the frame also. Still a 10 minute job. How do I know, recently put the 2006 front end on. :D
