So I just installed my DP tuner yesterday and love it. Only thing is I can hear a clunking or rattling now. I'm not sure if this is something in the front end or the first signs of my transmission going out(I really hope not). It did do it a little before, but it was only low speeds. I read about this common problem for our trucks. Now it does it almost all the time. It seems like it is most noticeable between 1000 and 1500 rpms. It also seems to slightly shake the truck. It still shifts fine though. The tranny temp seems to not go over 160 as well. Help!

Just saw this are you still having this problem? I'd bet it is either your exhaust rattling or converter shudder.

replaced my ujoints today and it fixed 90% of the noise. it sure is crazy how it felt like it was right under my feet. still plan on installing all new bushings from energy suspension some time down the road. my exhuast is setting on a bolt of crossmember bracket, but it is more of a high-pitched metal ting-ting sound. hope that makes since!!

Clint, I was having a similar problem with my 2004 about a year ago. It turned out I had some worn out inner seals in the front axles.

Previous to that, I had to have both front hubs replaced. I also changed the sway bar bushings and both sway bar links. New shocks also helped with the over all ride.

Figured out the rest of my rattle. it was my exhaust! lossened up every thing and used a pry bar to get it off the bolt on the crossmember, stuck a wedge in there and tightened everything back up. no clunking under my feet anymore. thanks guys.
