I decided that my thermostat housing was not going to cooperate and seal up so I set out to get a new one.

First call - local dealer which of course did not have one but could have one a week from next year.

Next step was to get on-line and order one up from powerstrokeshop. I ordered it on the 15th(Thursday)with priority shipping so I figured to have it Monday. :)

Monday(19th)rolls around and what do I get? Not a thermostat housing but a email stating that "The Order is complete. Please note the tracking number and total order cost for your records".:(

Now I am thinking I might get it by Wednesday until the USPS send me a email "Your item was processed and left our INDIANAPOLIS, IN 46206 facility on November 20, 2007".

So now here we are the 21st and it will not make it today. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving so it won't make it then. Friday the Postoffice will have to rest up from turkey day so they won't get it out of the bag. If I am lucky I will see it next Monday 11 days after I ordered it and paid $9.50 in shipping for a $20 part.:watchout

There is something wrong with this picture.......... Sorry for the rant but I am tired of my truck sitting out in the shop making a puddle on the floor.:rant

Thanks for listening :hail

Dude, when I lived in McGrath, I learned the meaning of "rural"

But you'd think, in a town the size of Fairbanks, even a parts store would have a no-name replacement one... or be able to pull one out of a warehouse in a couple days or so..

especially since your truck is still in the "window"
most parts stores stock parts in a ten year window, starting the year after it's a current model... '07's are still "current" most places, so parts for '06's back ten yrs to '96 would be stocked...

I dunno...

wtf are you doin up so early, anyway?

It ain't early it is late(4:29am). I just got home a couple of hours ago and am winding down. Time to hit the shower and go to bed. Bet you all are jealous that I get to sleep in until noon most of the time. Doesn't really count as sleeping in when you go to bed at 6am but it sounds good :D

Good Night..............
