I was using a 1/2 inch breaker bar on my tention pully to my serpintine belt, and when I took it off it slipped out of my hand. It fell and hit the fan blade, and bounced into the radiator putting a little hole into it. Has anyone used stop leak, or any other brand? Does it work long term or is it only for short term? Or should I just take it out and have it fixed?

Having it fixed or replaced is the right thing to do. I don't trust stop leak. To many other things it can plug besides the hole. Just my opinion. I know it's not the cheapest option, but the peace of mind might be worth it.

Thanks, I know that is the right thing to do, so I will, I was just wondering. I pull a heavy trailer every weekend, and I do need ease of mind.

What Strokers sez, X2.. But if you ever need to do a temp fix (?), try to find & use.. "Barrs Stop Leak". Good stuff.

(I've always carried a can, for any On The Road emergencies) (Like a stone thru the grill ?)

Thanks, I'll pick some up. Do you flush it out and fix the leak correctly as soon as you can?

On Edit ? I guess you could say.. It's a "FIX", but not a "REPAIR" ??
