I'm installing a racor R60T fuel filter in my truck and i think i have it figured out but the instruction aren't helping much

There are two inlets (that when the bulb on top is pressed they have a vacuum) and two out lets that press out air when the bulb is pressed.

Now is this so that the filter can be mounted so that the fuel can go in & out regardless how its installed (left or right fuel fed)

and do i plug the other two unused openings

Each side has an inlet and an outlet as indicated by the arrow on top of the head.

You can run straight through or in and out the same side. Plug the openings you are not using.

Be advised that you might find that 10micron filter a little restrictive. If it seems to stop up in short period of time try the R60P or R90P 30micron filter elements as a replacement.

I use the R90T. It's also a 10 micron but is a larger filter with more filter media with a faster flow rate. Larger filter media = longer filter life. I have the same Racor fuel housing and installed a vacuum gauge on the out port to indicate when it's time to change the filter. The coiled coolant hose is an extension of my coolant loop to provide heat to the rear filter since I run B99. Directions HERE . Click SIMPLE COOLANT JACKET FILTER HEATER in pdf form.

Racor filter information........

Filters:

All units feature spin--on replaceable filters and contaminant collection bowls. All units may be specified with
an in--bowl water probe when used with diesel or kerosene applications.
High--capacity Aquabloct filter elements, which stop water and remove solid contamination, are available in
2, 10 or 30 micron. Equipment owners can specify their filtration needs based on application, fuel quality, operating climates and maintenance schedules.

A 30 micron filter (or primary filter) is used to filter raw fuel (or poor quality fuel) before it can be further filtered by finer medias such as a 10 or 2 micron.

A 10 micron filter (or secondary and even final) is used to filter fuel which is known to be of good quality.

A 2 micron filter (or final filter) is the finest filtration available and is the last filter used prior to engine ingestion.

A simple rule to remember is the finer the filtration, the more frequent the filter change. (Carry extra filters with your equipment).

Best price I've found is $23.46 for the R90T HERE . Order a case of 6 and keep two with you at all times. The beauty is the R90T fits the Vormax too. Can anybody find a link for them cheaper? :dunno
