That is a sweet setup. I have recently done the CCV mod and have really been looking into the Recor CCV filter. Thanks for the write up and install.

It isn't done just yet. Tonight I found out that the check valve threads don't match the engine block plug threads, so I'm gonna have to do some scrounging. the smaller plug to the rear and above the plug I show in the pix (near the oil filter) is a coolant plug...oops. But it's coming along. It is snowy and I would rather "borrow" my wife's car this week!!!

It's in my picture gallery, and I updated it since that former post. Sorry I don't know how to put a link of that here. It's been running since I replaced the turbo...about 3k ago. I need to pull it apart just to see what it looks like inside -- it's shoe-horned in pretty good! But I am very pleased with the lack of oil drip from the former CCV mod.

You are welcome, glad to give a little back for a change.;tu I did a google search after I decided to go for a bigger unit. Ended up going with Diesel Innovations and total cost (Paypal) was $257. The owner called me to make sure I really wanted it (nice touch) but it did not come as a straight install...I had to find the components to hook up. However, it did come with the important stuff like the check valve and so forth. It was one of those "multiple runs to stores" sort of an install, but it broke the pain and monotony of the turbo reinstall.

Hardest part for me was finding the goofy thread (1-3/16-14 iirc) for the inlet and outlet. I went to a hydraulic shop and the hydraulic hose was there too, so I got it, and it was probably too stiff (but it'll sure not fall apart!).
