Hi all!!!
Truck is running real good now, but there is something that I have noticed, now that I have new Stage I type injectors, and a new transmission. I don't think there is anything wrong, just maybe different.:dunno
I have more power/throttle response when I am from 0% to about 50% throttle, than from 50% to WOT.
This is more of a seat of the pants feeling than anything else, but its something that I notice.
I have two thoughts here:
One is that I need more fuel pressure,
Two is that I need a higher oil pressure for the injectors.
I just don’t know.
I do not have a Chip or a programmer, so this is just a plane Jane PSD, except for the injectors.
Can anyone help shed some light on this and let me know what I need to do?

Thanks for everyones help:thanks :thanks :thanks

Ro, good chances are because of the modded injectors your getting more fuel delivered on the bottom end as the stock programming is calling for it. once you hit a particular rpm in the upper range you get all the 98cc fuel that the stock pcm calls for and it sorta reverts to stock flow. Stage one type squirters should be in the 150-160cc range, it takes a chip to get that potential out of the inj. with no chip your oil is more than likely excellent and so would your fuel be also.....If you ever do throw a chip or a programmer on it your gonna be amazed @ the difference......

Ya need a chip! May not hurt to do the BB mod to get the fuel pressure up also. Call Tony for the chip.

Agree, with the stock PCM you are running out of brains to tell the injectors to squirt more at the top end.

Yep, get a chip to work those injectors.

Also, higher throttle causes the TCC to lock sooner, giving a noticable drop in power at the wheels (you lose torque multiplication from the converter). The chip can be set up to avoid early converter lockup too.
