I had a problem with my truck last night and the codes I picked up this morning were P0603 and P1211. The P603 is a problem with KAM and I figure it was because I had run my batts low. The P1211 has me stumped because it reads "ICP not controllable - pressure Above / desired" and I know that there is a restriction in the tank because I took the suction line off the tank after my truck died last night and it hissed at me. I blew in the line and it seemed to remove the restriction and then the truck barked right up again and ran fine. So how could the pressure be above or desired as there was no fuel getting to the fuel bowl. A little help would be great. Sorry for the novel. Thanks in advance:)

The 1211 would be from your oil pressure, won't have anything to do with the fuel side.

...read this...DTC P1211 indicates that injection control pressure was above or below commanded desired pressure during self test mode.
Possible causes:
incorrect oil or viscosity
poor oil quality
gel fuel/no fuel
low fuel pressure
damaged IPR valve
high-pressure oil system leak
damaged high-pressure oil pump
damaged PCM
Verify correct oil quality/viscosity and correct fuel grade are being used for the temperature conditions.

Thanks alot, my desription in the superchips manual is very vague.

no fuel
low fuel pressure

It is deffinatley one of those two or both of them. Gonna rip the fuel tank down tonite and look for obstructions.

Great success! Apparently there are two screens "hiding" in the fuel tank pickup which were completely clogged with ****.......truck runs like a top now.:D And I only had to pull the tank twice because I forgot the sending unit O-ring on one of my jerry cans.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier.:sorry

Most people eliminate the mixing chamber all together and get rid of the screens. Although with the temps you see it may not be a good idea since you need a pre-pump filter after screen removal. The pre-pump would likely need to be heated in your neck of the woods. The mixing chamber mixes fresh "cold" fuel with "heated" return fuel from the engine to reduce chance of fuel lines gelling. The problem with that function is that the return fuel has alot of air in it. POKE HERE for Hutch Mod instructions.

I had my 99 cent filter gel up last year when temps never got out of the low teens for a day. Now I run a heated pre-pump filter.;)

I would have left out the screens but I didn't have enough fuel hose to put in a filter before the fuel pump. But now that I know about this it will be a project for later on when I haven't already pulled my tank out twice in one night:( Thanx for the info it will be helpful later on. I would have just pulled the screens but if air gets in the fuel sysem I always put addative's in my fuel for anti-gelling and lubrication so I would not have a problem in doing the "Hutch" mod at all.
