dont worry not our truck.
i told a buddy of mine from work that i would do his front brakes (01 Cheby Impala) while i was helping another buddy from work pull his 7.3L to change the oil pan.
when we got the pads and done on the first wheel it felt like one of the lugs was starting to strip but it went on so i though nothing of it (put it on with a ratchet for first few turns then eletric impact gun to tighten). so i went on to go grab a beer and my buddy joe started to do the drivers side wheel came back out and he was just about done so i rolled the tire over and the threw it up there, and put 3 to 4 turns with the ratchet on each lug the went with the impact gun. then he striped out a lug and a wheel stud then another of each then another lug then another of each, when all was said and done there was said and done 4 lugs and 3 wheel studs were shot. went and did the run around got 4 lugs and and 2 different size studs (that was between 5 or 6 parts stores). so we got the 2 studs on striped out 2 more lugs, so we pulled on from the rear and got the job done. good thing hes only traveling to Alantic City today..
now im just wondering is this just cause Chevorlet is using cheap materials and parts or what? which leaves me wondering about the rest of the car. i know that i and the other guy working on the car both knew what we were doing, and have each done plenty of brake jobs, and i dont see it being an operator error...
