Okay.. Here's what I've done so far to get our 2K & 5r as Road Resistant as possible for our 3-4 month trip.

I'm finding it's costing some Bucko's... Justa Git Outa Town :eek: but i'd rather leave town with a "Warm'n Fuzzy" than pay some "BANDIT"..

Can anyone think of anything else ??

Truck:

1. Oil/filter(s) changed. Rottela T/Motocraft. By-pass LT6

2. Tranny fluid changed. Red-Line D6 Syn. ATF

3. Dif. Lube flush/changed. Red-Line 75w 140 Syn.

4. New AIS air filter. Donaldson.

5. New Serp. belt. 2 spares

6. New fuel filter(s). 2 spares, each

7. New coolant filter.

8. Greased suspension & U-joints.

9. Checked all Tire pressures.

10. Alignment/tires balanced/Disc brakes, Front wheel bearings inspected. New L&R, Upper & Lower Ball joints. All good to go now.

11. All other Fluids and Batteries checked.

12. A/C system serviced. OK

And, Waxed, Rain-X'd, new wipers and I/c boots tweaked.

5r :

1. Repacked wheel bearings.

2. New brake shoes all 'round. (Just because)

3. Greased 5th wheel pin.

4. Battery water levels checked

5. Total Creature Comfort check.
