When I crank my powerstroke in the morning it runs great has plenty of pep when you give it gas. As it warms up it seems to not be as responsive. you have to prss the pedal harder to get the same result. It begins to feel like i am driving with the brakes on. I think my ipr o rings need to be replaced because when i let off the throttle the truck sounds like it dies until it gets down to about 1100rpms and then sounds like it cranks again. any help would be appreciated.

IPR O-rings is a good guess. Also check/change your fuel filter and air filter if you havent already. You might also check fuel pressure.

when was the last oil and fuel filter change?what type of oil was used?what color was the fuel in the filter bowl?

1 thing with the PSD is that when you are driving you hear the engine, when you let off the throttle it goes quiet untill you step on it again or the speed catches up with the RPM.

i have found that my truck will run like crap when it needs an oil change.usually itll be low on power, idle like crap but run perfect when cold.

Changed filter and oil about 600 miles ago along with fuel filter. looked like normal diesel but filter media was black in fuel filter. i have an oil leak in the valley too. changed hpop o rings and turbo pedestal orings top and bottom ebpv gutted hole blocked off and plugged. So i believe my ipr is leaking.

Are you sure that is not your TC unlocking?

If I'm in OD and lock-up (50+ mph) and I let off the throttle, the TC stays locked and the truck goes silent....THEN...as I'm slowing down and the TC unlocks (around 40 mph and 1100 rpm) and the RPMs drop to the 600 range.....I can hear the engine again......I thought it was just the TC unlocking......what do ya'll think?

Thanks,

that's exactly what I think..
normal operation (supposed to emulate an engine brake, but a pretty weak imitation)
