OK guys, it started AGAIN!!!!

Truck will die trying to accelerate from a stop. Today, for the first time, it tried to die when I was accelerating from a "rolling" stop, but picked back up and went on.

I have changed the CPS (twice) the ICP sensor (which eliminated the problem for a few days), and the fuel pump!

When the truck dies and I re-crank it normally fires off but does so very rough and the tach DOES NOT move while trying to start. Most of the time it starts and goes the first time, but it has died 3 times in a row at least once.

Any more ideas??????

I'm going to check the fuel heater as 94f450sd suggested, but the truck ISN'T throwing any codes.

I filled up with fuel to try to eliminate a bad fuel issue, but the truck idles and runs flawlessly.

I'm about to set fire to it!!!!

youmay want to check or unplug the fuelheater.it is inside the furl filter bowl under the fuel filter.sometimes the element breaks off andshortsout causing the truck to die or blow the fuse for it.

Almost exact symptoms on son's 2000 PSD. ICP sensor fixed all problems.

I'm replacing batteries and I will do the ICP sensor as soon as I can get my hands on one and figure out where it goes.

I've posted twice on 911 and it keeps disappearing.

Thanks for the help!!

One more cry for help with stalling.......!!

I've posted twice but it keeps either being removed or disappearing.

Truck quits every time I try to accelerate from a stop.

Changed CPS and Fuel filter to no improvement. Truck idles fine and runs ok but throttle response lacks a little from before......a liitle hesitation before actually going (when it will).

Truck has died getting on the interstate, pulling out of restaraunt, when leaving the driveway. It's dangerous.

Usually starts right back, but May or May not keep running after pushing in on the pedal. Will idle easily.

ICP?????? or something else........???? Where is ICP located??????:dunno :dunno

I could not find it in the forum when I came back to check. That's why I reposted. Didn't know if it wasn't accepted or had been deleted/moved for whatever reason.

Rooster was able to point me to the ICP and suggested I may have a fuel pump on its last legs. Got the ICP ordered and I already have a fuel pump ready to go.....We'll see.....

Thanks again Rooster!!

All Is Well Again

Changed ICP and now we're :burnit again!!!!!

The new ICP is a little different from the original which had me guessing for a bit, but after the install the throttle response is back, truck SEEMS to run smoother, and the stalling is GONE!!!!!

:hail to all who helped!!!!! Thanks to Rooster for the PM's!!!!!

You guys are :sweet in my book!!!

:thumbs :drive :ZigBang: :woot  :bootyshak
