My brother and I have a few toy we tinker on. My F250, arctic cat 650 atv My brothers VW bug, GMC Typhon, 1964 409 Impala ss. He built the Impala from the frame on up and is now working on the VW and the Typhon. We decided to start cleaning and powder coating parts ourselves instead of having a local shop do it. We took a set of old rusted rims that have been sitting in the garage for about 10 years and decided to clean them up. We blasted one to remove the rust and then powder coated it in rally grey. We are also going to blast the valve covers clean and powder coat them. Here are a few pics of before and after.:D

We have a Spectracoat setup, I will be offering some powder coating services in the not to distant future. I need a larger unit for curing, about a 6x8x6 so we can do larger projects. Ive got some VW valve covers and a intake for a 350 to do so Ill post some more picks afterwards.;tu

Def post more stuff about it and pics:coffee. My bro and I have talked about it for yrs about gettin a powder coating set up. I'd love to be able to do vehicle frames. But I think small things would be better for now till I get good at it. Rims, car parts, etc. Are the supplies expensive for doin small parts? I'd be powder coatin EVERYTHING I put my hands on haha:sweet

You will need more than just the powder coat set up. The set ups are $500-$4000. You need a pretty big air compressor(lucky most of us have one of these already), a large oven to cure parts, frames, wheels, ect and the powders. The ovens are the expensive part. $4000 to $45,000
We are making plans to build an oven! I dont have an extra 45 grand layin around!;tu
