I have been cleaning out the 4800sqf side of the shop and I'm looking at starting up a bio-plant. The shop is in a area that has about 150 dump trucks and OTR Trucks. I'm thinking big bucks here. I have found the tanks, but I have not found the info for a large set up looking at 5000 gals. a day being sold daily. Does anybody know were I can find the info.

5000 gallons is a lot of diesel. The thing I would worry most about is the supply source. And then, what chances that you have of them actually buying fuel from you. It is harder to break into these trucking companies than you think.

as for the supply theres a company a hour north of us that supplys soybeans oil and there ready to sell. right now B99 is selling for 3.29 gal. here

Zoning may be allowed but try and get through the State and Federal red Tape for commercial production.
Pony up a million and you might be good to go.
Licensed fuel producer is just not obtainable for a laymen.
Check into biodiesel.org, aka national biodiesel national board. You will have to join, use them for tier testing and then pay them so much per gallon you produce.
I would almost be willing to bet you would never get local zoning clearance to make it for resale. There is so much red tape with EPA its not even funny.
I pay my state road tax, they had to create a process to collect from individuals but it only took them one working day to come up with it!
If I was to sell it, which I do not, and get caught, I am going to jail or at the least having a very unpleasant experience with the tax code, local building codes, federal government and a nice hefty attorney bill.
Jump over to Biodieselnow.com forum and there are a few small commercial producers that post there. You can ask them about start up.

Zoning is not a problem here, I have some family up in the state cap. here and there looking in to the fed. part for me. The state is cool with it because they have there butts in a money cruch, so there giving people some slack for new buss. start ups. I need to look and talk to the biodiesel people. Thanks for the Info.
