Can anyone point me to a link that will provide information on hooking up pillar gauges (trans, boost, egt). I know this has been discussed quite a bit but I'm having trouble finding the right article. Thanks

the directions would be provided w/ each gauge...theres nothing particularly
unique about the super duty.

youve dont a choice of where to connect the boost guage...
the better location is to TAP the CAC/Intercooler elbow just forward
of the oil filter (other options tap vac. lines & cause the boost gauge
to buzz and bounce a little)

the egt probe should be placed pre turbo for the most accurate
readings...again tapping is best... @ the exhaust manifold on the
drives side... near the REAR of the manifold.

the trans guage sensor threads into a port on the side of
the trans, drivers side, just above the pan.

Well there was an awsome instruction with all of the pictures on the Diesel Manor webpage but I guess the server is down right now. Try that webpage if they get back online sometime.

Thanks Bush,
Maybe I asked too soon, I haven't received the gauges yet. Maybe it will explain what wire to tap into for the gauge lights. Thanks for the boost and tranny locations, I remember you guys talking about leaving the truck running while drilling and tapping for the probe. Did you run your wires through the firewall or fender?

yeah you wont find any specific hints other than "connect" the wire for the
lights...i PERSONALLY picked up power for the gauges off the delayed
exit/power wire near the back of the radio.

the gauge/dimmer light i grab by tapping the dimmer feed off the
back of the light switch

i didnt leave my truck running when i tapped the exhaust manifold...
i just drilled it & tapped it...and i followed the instructions for the
bit & tap size...the cuttings will fall DOWN (away from the manifold)
anyway...pretty fine cuttings.

i ran the wires by using an awe to make a hole in one of the
rubber firewall plugs (up under the drivers side dash.
