A friend of mine has a 95 Mustang that somebody back into and broke the taillight. Ford told her it was an obsolete part, but found her one for $365 in Wisconsin. I found her one on Ebay for $25 shipped that is a different color. It has a crappy yellow paint job and she has a black car. I'm just wonder if anybody has any suggestions on painting the trim black as well as cleaning the old yellow paint off the lens.

Thanks for your help.

It shouldnt be that hard, get some sandpaper to rough up the old paint and clean it with some denatured alcohol and paint.

Fusion works well however as long as it has paint on it then you don't have to worry about special plastic paints.

Go visit the dealer and get color matched spray touchup paint. Then scuff with 220 and spray on to cover the yellow.

Thanks guys. I knew it wouldn't be hard. I was already thinking just using a fine sand paper to rough it up a little. Thought I'd see if anybody had any tricks or other suggestions. Thanks for the help.
