The code that came up when my check engine light came on was P0088

This is on my 2008 F350 6.4 with 140,200 miles.

The truck is running fine, but when the light first came on the truck was running rough during acceleration and was having a hard time shifting to overdrive. After I stopped the truck and restarted, the problem went away. It did it one other time during the week.

Any ideas? Supposed to be fuel pressure related.

If you google "DTC P0088" you will find; Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High. Your guess is as good as mine about what is causing this.

Could be a bad injector or your injector pump is on it's way out. I'll get on ISIS and give you some tests to do.

Well- what is the best way to clear the check engine light? Disconnect bot negative cables? For a certain amount of time?

My truck is running fine. When the light first came on, the truck was running as I described above. Since then, after a restart it's been fine. I think the check engine light just stays on till serviced.
