I've repaired the overhead computer on my 2000 PSD, but now my brother just bought a 2001 PSD. His overhead computer/console is intermittent. It seems to work good then get extremely dim, even without the lights on. The link for the overhead computer at forgotton.net is not working right now. Does anyone know of a different link or website?

Also, his dome light works when you turn the switch on the dash, but not when any of the doors are opened. Any ideas for fixing this?

The trip computer is cheap at the dealer, about $75 unless you soldier all the little resistors and capacitors that got fried. Easy fix on the dome lights unless a switch is bad try spraying a good penatrating oil into the latch/hinge assembly and then repeatedly open and close all the doors quickly, they stick over time and this should do it. You might have to get the door panel off and spray the inside too.

I wish someone would come up with a fix on the overhead console to correct the DTE. I can fill up completely and it'll say about 250 miles but I can go 521.

DaveBen is correct, there is no fix for the Lie-O-Meter. But, there is a fix for the dimming of the display. It's caused by the resistors comming loose. Just take it apart are re-solder the resistors and you'll be good 2 go.
