Over The Past Month my overhead console screen started to fade and now it is gone. is there any way i can repair it, how does it come off from the headliner. inquiring minds wants to know

if i remember right it comes down by pulling it... itll feel like its gonna snap in to pieces then it just pops out.... i only know from previous posts being that i dont have one... so you might want to wait till some one backs me up on that....as far as how to repair it im of nooo use

If equipped, remove the overhead console.
Release the locking tabs while pulling down.

Having just done this, it is not hard. Yes, just grab and pull. the cover will come right off. the computer is on by two screws, it think, and a plug.
As for your computer, check here to see if this is your problem. It was for me and I had some electronic guys at work fix for me. Has worked fine since.

that was the problem. thanks dboyw your link was very helpful. it cost less than 10$ including the solder iron
