On going investigation apparently.

Apparently here in the Houston area some one is stealing cooking oil from Summit recycling containers, some on will call claiming to be summit recycling but when you call back it’s some fraud dept/ firm doing fake calls. They will ask a lot of question and bug the heck out of you till they try to “sell” oil to you. So anyways just thought I would spread the work and don’t be stealing.

i just had this very conversation w/ a guy last night...smokin' a stoggie
we were...he owns a bio-d processing company...

apparently the market has fallin' off a bit because of mad cow...europe
(who used to be a BIG buyer of WASTE cooking oil) cant import or buy
our cooking oil any more

the market on bio d is changing QUICKLY...i cant wait to hear that
resturants are now SELLING their waste oil instead of PAYING rendering
companies to haul it off !

mickies Dees, actually has a program through their food distributor to reclaim all the used cooking oil so it can be reprosesed into bio d for the delivery trucks used in the huge distribution chain.

i also hear wally world is starting to do this as well

makes sense to run your fleet on your wn used oil

I use to have a guy in Dayton,Tx that sold his Bio-d to me. Was nice and clean for 0.65 per gallon. I had to buy 500gals at a time. Then he all of asudden quit. Can't believe people would be stealing this stuff when it is free at resturants. I stoped at Bio-Willies today, it has be awhile since I ran Bio I miss how good it makes the truck run.

Wish Granted!

There's a a private individual, and a bio company both that buy WVO for $1.00/gallon

the Bio company sells it back to you for $3.65 /gallon refined
the privateer sells it to you for $3.00 /gallon filtered

the problem is the resturants DONT own it once they put it in the
rendering barrels...and its the RENDERING companies that are going
after folks for stealing "their grease" !

rendering companies for YEARS AND YEARS charged resturants to
haul & "dispose" of the WVO/Grease...their lawsuits remeind me of the
music industry trying to persue people that have stolen music
