Just one of the "Lessons Learned" from our recent 11K mile RV trip was:

The availability of User Friendly Air, for keeping my Ride Rites, 5th wheel air ride hitch and Most importantly..Tire Pressures where they should be, while on the road was.. Spotty to None.. at best.

I had a "12v Air in a Bag" thingy that got me through but what a PIA.

Sooo.. I've installed a VIAIR 20008, 200 psi compressor & tank, with a 50 foot retractable air hose in my Bed Box.

Mounted side by side, it only took up 14 inches of box width so....

Jus something to ponder for anyone who does any OTR travel. :dunno

I've even used my on-board air to install crown molding at my parents house. Sure beat hauling my shop compressor 1000 miles. I carry a coiled hose and have a connection at the tank (under rear passenger door) and one on the rear bumper.

;):D I'm in the R&D stages of the same thing, kinda. With 50 feet of hose on the reel, I'm good to go for tires & such, but I'm now think'n 'bout a air dryer, regulator and a multi port manifold.

It Never Ends.. :lmao

It is a disease. I have played with the idea of mounting a hose reel up in the area behind the bed wheel well. I think it will fit. I may also put a connection up front somewhere. I like to carry a shorter hose but long enough to reach the trailer if needed.

FWIW ? the reel I used was from Lowes (Item # 173234), 14X14X6, the hose guide is adjustable, to suit yer angle needs.. 50 feet of 3/8s hose.. 60 bucks.

Worked fer Me :dunno

joe- think about changing the hose to 1/4" ploy instead. you will get a whole lot more on the reel! don;t forget to put horns on the to do list too!

I thought of that as I was Fab'n this together.. only thing Is ?? How much flow (volume) loss would there be ?

I'm think'n the 50 feet will get me to all my tires'n such.. for now.

BUT.. like everything else I've ever done.... I can't seem to leave it Alone, or Original. (Wife Speak) :lmao:lmao
