oil in my exhaust after injector install

Well like it says. I got stage 1's from bean and after two tanks of fuel I am 3 qt low. I went to the stacks and it’s wet. I don’t have any visible leaks. There is a slight sign of oil on the oil pan but that has been there since i bout the truck. No spots on the ground.

Now all the post suggests injector O rings, seeing how i just did that, what else is there to look for? I really don’t want to go through all the hassle again.

I just filled up both tanks.

Stacks are wet, slippery, and black inside after a drive through town with no stomping it, if it were rain I think it would have dried up.

Smoke, only on start up, a decent amount too. Non on idle, idling down while driving.

What to look for and how to check?
I know I need to check the fuel filter for oil, the weather is being a mess right now but when it clears I’m checking that first. What else?

Just did gp and everything that goes with them as well.

Thank you for your help! Jordan

Did you slowly lose the 3 qts of oil after running two tanks of fuel through it or...... is this the first time you checked the oil after the injector work? I had a good amount of oil run out my exhaust after I installed the injectors, it was on the first start/first cranks. Since then its been fine. I think the oil I blew out was left over in the combustion chambers after the R&R.

btw.......... welcome to SDD, you got a good looking OBS there! :sweet

I have not heard of this on powerstrole injectors but I have seen it on caterpillars heui engines. the injector will leak internally past the Intensifier piston and is then fired into the combustion chamber and burned, I saw a 3412 engine that burn 4 gallons of oil in a 10 hour shift once. I suppose if this is what is happening and you were not building much heat in the exhaust it would not completely burn the oil and cause the wetness in the stacks. Wouldn't think this could be your trouble though where the injectors are new. Must just be loss from installing the new injectors maybe.

Its slowly, after the install it was dripping out I got worried but figured it was from cranking the motor over to clear the cyl. It hasn’t been dripping out since, but lately the stacks have been wet and i have had to add oil. I don’t see anything around the turbo or anything.

Will I hurt anything if I keep driving it to see where the problem is or if it continues?

Thank you for the complement and reply, Jordan

Very nice truck, I like the 96' model the best:sweet dunno why;)

Could you have possibly fouled up a o-ring when you installed the injectors or got one out of the groove?

Possibly, is there any way to check, if i found just a side that would save me obviously half the work?! Man this stinks. Live and learn. Let me know what to look for if you could.

Thank you again about the complements and the reply, Jordan
