oil change

I have a friend bringing her truck over for an oil change. It is a 1996 F-350 Dualy rear wheel drive with a 7.3 diesel. I have been getting very confusing answers on oil capacity for this engine, from 6 qts to 19 qts. I'm thinking 15 with a filter change might be correct but not sure. I'm at the point where after draining I will just fill till the dipstick shows full. I'm pretty sure the filter will take near 2 qts before I put it on.

Buy 4 gallons of oil. You'll get between 14 and 16 qts in her.

Started the engine build with a new set of stock cases. S&S lightweight bottom end with Supreme S&S con rods. 3 3/4" Wiseco flat pistons for 84"/1380cc displacement. 883 heads ported with Big Twin valves. 11.8:1 compression. Andrews V-8 cams, which are quite mild for this engine. Mikuni 42mm carb.
Built it myself except for a bit of farmed out machine and head work. Runs real nice on pump high test with the timing backed off a bit.
Ran 10.81 @ 120 when it was 1200cc making around 100 hp. Got the class record certificate for qtr. mile et on that pass. Lotsa fun.

Nice numbers. I run a 92XL 1200 but nothing radical like that. Fun bikes to play with. I travel on a FLHR.
