Recently, Costco in my area had a special on the (6) one gallon jugs Delo 15w40 @ $51.00, I purchased (3) cases (18 one gallon jugs)

My next oil change is due in about 1000 miles. I have used the Rotella 15w0 with no problems. I am guessing the Delo will perform as well as the Rotella? Can anyone advise on thier experiences with the Delo? I will still use the MC oil filter.

Thanks

Outstanding. Truck now has 305K. The last 200K were Delo 15W40. I've had about 12 Blackstone UOAs (used oil analysis) over the years and each one was phenomenal for an engine with so many miles. All my trace metal ppms were below universal averages.

I got two cases from Costco when it was on sale.

hheynow,

That is a good amount of miles, sounds like the Delo is doing well for your 7.3, good to hear the positve feedback from Blackstone. Do you notice any difference in using the Delo compared to the oil you used before that? I have read on other sites some 7.3 owners like the Delo better than other oils they used.

Thanks

My truck for some reason uses oil when I was running Rotella. Had to do a change
with Delo and it didnt use oil. I have idea why. Have used it since then with usage
that I would call normal. I havent tried to switch back to see if something changed
for the usage to stop. All oil tests at Blackstone come back great.

Rotella is easier to find, but there are plenty of places that have Delo when
I need it.

I have used both Delo and Rotella over the years, both are great, reliable oils to use. They are readily availible, cost effective, and have a well established track record w/ the big boys (semis and fleet owner/operators).
