O/d light blinks when truck is not moving...

Truck od light blinks when truck is running and not moving until i start moving up to about 20 mph then works normal.

All scans say truck is in first gear
cant run koer tests because it says its not in park or nuetral
voltage from mlps is 1.6 in reverse and drive only
0.o in all other possitions
new ford oe mlps
new speed sensor
wires not corroded
heard that maybe the computer needs to be reflashed or some crap
trans code says range sensor circut fault
any more info towards where to look would be great
trans works fine except shifts goofy sometimes

The range sensor (aka neutral safety switch) is most likely the problem.

They're not that expensive.

MLPS (Range Sensor) is bad or out of adjustment. Check the harness and the plug going to the sensor for damage.

mlps is 1 week old and changed it because i was told IT was THE problem... could it be bad from dealer and why would it all of a sudden go out of adjustment... and how would the voltages be 0 or 1.6 i was told it should go from 1 to 4 volts in ascending order?
all pins on both sides of connection are mint and look brand new...

IIRC, you can't get them out of adjustment, there is a notch on the case that corresponds to a flat on the switch..

you said you had it scanned for codes.. did they get cleared and these are the ones that have re-occurred?

either way, something is up with that range switch.. 2 postions at 1.6 and the rest at "0" ain't gonna get it..

same ones

The bolt hole are slotted for adjusment. The funky little tool makes setting the sensor easy.

still no change re- replaced the MLPS and no different..
i am about to rebuild the trans but dont want to until i find the electrical problem... anyone else have any ideas

truck works fine other than blinking light? put duct tape over the light and keep driving
