Had a great mod day down here this past weekend...........Scarlet Nape and I finally got our ball joints replaced. Had a nice facility to work in and alot of help from some pros.

8-1/2hrs later we got both trucks done and I am some kind of sore......

Needless to say this is NOT a job I want to see again for a long time !!! :dizzy

Started to use it on the ball joint nuts until we found a proper size open end wrench.

and the ball joint press ? did the borrowed one from autozone
work out ok ? (cant be sure but the one in the photo looks
larger than what i recall borrowing from autozone).

Make sure yall get your alignments checked...theyre likely
a LITTLE bit off after having done the balljoints now.

fwiw firestone has a deal 130 bucks for a lifetime alignment
(bring it back as often as you like) or pay 79 bucks for a
one time alignment.

A fellow NTXPSA member "Bartman" purchased a set and was kind enough to bring it to the meet. Sure was nice having the right tool for the job!!!

Oh..........I bought some track bar bushings from 4 Wheel Parts but they appear to be way too big. Two of the bushings had steel inserts in them that were waaaay two big for the bolt. The other two bushings did not have steel inserts with them.

The part number appears to be correct.......what am I missing here?

Energy Suspension, Performance Polyurethane Bushings #4.7128G.

I'm glad they are done, but I will not be "lining up" to do it again, anytime soon. Me and Motrin got re-acquainted, yesterday.:wflag
I think the axle seals were the biggest PITAs. They sure required a lot of persuading to get off and on.:boxing
